Minority Weirdos is a media organization focused on fashion and food in the Southern Region. We currently focus on New Orleans and Baton Rouge of Louisiana and Hattiesburg and Jackson of Mississippi. Minority Weirdos represent all races and cater to individuals daring to be different and providing additional outlets for writers to share their vision and passion. Min We is a collaborative of writers passionate about topics surrounding the fashion and food industries.
Minority Weirdos started in 2008 as an idea of Shercole King and focused on entertainment. Minority Weirdo’s growth spurred a shift to fashion and food, as the realization grew of how prominent each area throughout the South has become.
Often the South isn’t associated with fashion, but we realize the style that can be found throughout this region is evident. We plan to highlight the talented designers and trends found throughout the South, as well as share the Southern analysis of worldwide fashion. We combined it with food to share one of the passions found throughout the founding state of Louisiana. Fashion and Food we look at both as an art form, both are expressive and bring unique aspects to each community.
